THIS IS US
Since 2011, we support people in need: children, adults, families and social institutions. If there is a crisis, that's where we are. In addition to providing food and immediate help, we're also trying to give experiences and dignity to people living in difficult situations.
VITAMIN COMMANDO
Twice a week we deliver by bike nutritious sandwiches, vitamins, drinks, warm clothes and blankets to people living on the streets. Last year, we delivered over 20,000 sandwiches this way.
LAKE BALATON PROJECT
We organize trips to Lake Balaton for Hungarian families in need. For those who can't come, we bring Balaton to them with ice cream, street food, swimming pool and live music at homeless shelters and children's homes.
FAT THURSDAY DINNERS
Several times a year we take families in need to restaurants or turn the dining room of homeless shelters into a ‘restaurant’. Working together with waiters, we serve the tenants a three-course dinner and give them a special experience they might never have an opportunity to enjoy.
GYNECOLOGICAL CLINIC FOR WOMEN IN NEED
Thanks to our community fundraising efforts, a trauma-conscious gynecological clinic has been completed by BMSZKI. The clinic was built especially for women in need, to provide access to medical care.
RAISING AWARENESS
There is no such thing as ‘homeless’. The only thing we know of are ‘homeless people, since behind every single person there is a fate and a life with beautiful and difficult stages. With the help of social media, school activities and lectures, we help the society to realize that people living in the streets are persons with names, faces and stories.
BIKE MAFFIA CAFÉ
The Bike Maffia's café on Tűzoltó Street donates at least 10% of its income to good causes. Join in on community events and concerts, and enjoy a cup of coffee, a beer, or a glass of wine.
BIKE MAFFIA FARM
Yeah, we have a farm, too. A cultivated garden where social impact is the most important fruit. It serves as a therapeutic retreat for people in need, residents, schoolchildren, volunteers, and companies to recharge and find purpose. And of course, all the vegetables end up in the sandwiches.
FUNDRAISING
We regularly collect and buy donations to families in need. Within two days of the Russian-Ukrainian war outbreak, 20 tons of donations were delivered to the border thanks to a massive cooperation.
